Moonshot Canvas

What is it?

A moonshot is a method used to create radical new technologies and solutions to some of our hardest problems. It is always framed as a What if? Question and is to be used when you have a big idea and don’t know how to get to the solution yet.

This tool is for individuals or teams who have projects that fit into the high impact – high reward categories.

Who is it for?

Individuals or teams who have projects that fit into the high impact – high reward categories.

How does it work?

  1. Participants create stickies in response to questions in each of the 16 sections.
  2. As sections are completed stickies are added to each section.
  3. Once complete participants hold a discussion to review answers and align thinking.

Inputs

You’ll need a big idea or problem that is difficult to solve.

Outputs

You’ll create ideas and actions to help you move closer to solving that big problem. We recommend using the Moonshot Canvas with Alignment Map or similar to create practical next steps at the end of the session.
