User Testing Toolkit

What is it?

A document outlining a process which can guide the planning and running of user testing activities. This covers both remote and in person studies.

Every project is different and may require some adjustment, but the overall process has been tested in a range of scenarios.

Throughout this Toolkit are links to documents or resources which can be used as guidance or templates. These assist the planning and execution of a fast turnaround user testing process, all syncing with the game development process.

Who is it for?

Anyone who wants to complete user testing on a product or video game.

How does it work?

  1. Set goals & objectives
  2. Plan out your session
  3. Run the sessions
  4. Analyse and report

Inputs

You will need at least one potential project or collaboration to evaluate with sufficient depth of information to run through the whole process.

Outputs

A Discovery Lab report with a decision on whether to proceed or not with the project or collaboration.
