Immersive Game Lab Application

InGAME is delighted to be collaborating with StoryFutures Academy: the National Centre for Immersive Storytelling, on an exciting new Game Lab and commission.

This application form is for Game Developers who are interested in applying for the InGAME X StoryFutures Immersive Game Lab. We recommend reading details of the application criteria in full before applying to give you the best chance of success.   • About You

  • This person should be the lead contact for activities relating to the Immersive Narrative Game Lab.
  • The preferred email address for the lead contact. We would prefer if this was an email address belonging to a named individual rather than a generic or shared account.

  • Applications must be made by or through a company registered and centrally managed within the Dundee Creative Clusters area (City of Dundee and adjacent local authorities of Angus, Fife and Perth and Kinross).
  • About your proposal

  • We are looking for companies with game and/or XR development experience. Please provide details of your relevant past experience and current in-house expertise across game and/or XR development.
  • We'd like to get know your previous work. Please provide no more than 5 examples of previous projects. We welcome links to relevant demos, flyers, trailers, product pages or press coverage.
  • We’d like to understand your approach to collaboration. Please provide details of a past game development collaboration and your approach to project management.
  • Why does this opportunity appeal to your company and how will you benefit from the collaboration?
  • Do you commit to engaging collaboratively with Games Labs project activities, as outlined below?

    1. At least one team member attending each day of the Games Labs workshops, plus the evening networking event, in Dundee on March 31st and April 1st 2020

    2. At least one team member to provide feedback on ideas pitched by 12 writers to aid the shortlisting process

    3. Undertaking regular production meetings (these may occur remotely, e.g. via Skype or conference call) during the 4-week scoping period

    4. Contributing to the creation of a pitching deck and video presentation

    5. In the event of receiving the commission, completing the necessary work on the narrative-led game by September 30th 2020

    6. In the event of receiving the commission, contributing to audience testing sessions

    7. In the event of receiving the commission, participating in a planning session for the industry showcase
